Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy explains your rights regarding cancellation and refunds for TrapStats subscriptions. We aim to be fair and transparent in all billing matters.
2. Trial & Refund Window — 7 + 7 Days
Every Pro subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial and you can cancel at any time from Account → Subscription.
After the trial ends and your card is first charged, you have an additional 7 days to request a full refund. Combined with the trial period, this gives you a total of 14 days from registration during which you can recover your money. This matches and goes beyond the statutory cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for UK consumers.
Refunds in this window are granted on request only.
Email support@trapstats.co.uk from the address registered on your TrapStats account within 14 days of registration and we will process the refund to your original payment method within 14 days. No reason is required. Please do not use a card chargeback — that delays your refund significantly and incurs dispute fees we both pay for.
If you have actively used premium features beyond the trial (e.g. placed bets driven by paid analytics), we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided. In practice this is rare and only applied to high-usage cases.
3. How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time using either of the following methods:
- Self-service: Go to Account → Billing and click “Manage Subscription” to access the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel immediately.
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@trapstats.co.uk with your account email address. We will process cancellations within 2 business days.
Upon cancellation, you retain access to your current plan until the end of your billing period. No further charges will be made.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method. Processing times:
- Credit/debit cards: 5–10 business days
- Bank transfers: 5–10 business days
Your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund on your statement. We will email you confirmation when the refund is initiated.
5. Day Passes
Day passes provide immediate, time-limited access to premium features. Day passes are non-refundable once activated, as the digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase. By purchasing a day pass, you acknowledge and consent to the immediate supply of digital content and waive the 14-day cooling-off right in accordance with Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
6. Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within the 14-day cooling-off period from initial purchase. After the cooling-off period, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable but you can cancel to prevent future charges. Your access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.
7. Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions benefit from both the statutory 14-day cooling-off period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) and our 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked.
After this period, annual subscriptions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at our discretion for exceptional circumstances (e.g., extended service outages). Contact support@trapstats.co.uk to discuss.
8. Exceptions
Refunds will not be granted for:
- Accounts terminated for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy
- Dissatisfaction with prediction outcomes (predictions are analytical tools, not guarantees)
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date
