Racecard

The published list of runners for a race, with trap numbers, dog names, trainers, recent form and forecast prices. The bettor's primary reference document before the off.

A racecard is the official list of runners for a greyhound race published before the off. A standard UK or Irish racecard includes:

  • Trap number — the starting box (1–6).
  • Dog name — the greyhound's registered name.
  • Trainer — the person responsible for preparing the dog.
  • Recent form figures — usually the last 5 finishing positions, e.g. "32145" (3rd, 2nd, 1st, 4th, 5th most recent).
  • Distance and grade — what kind of race this is (sprint < 400m, standard 400–500m, stayer 500m+; grade A is highest class, then D, S, etc.).
  • Forecast price — Timeform or industry tipster's forecast of what the SP will be.

On TrapStats: every track hub page (e.g. /tracks/romford) shows today's racecard with the AI-predicted win probability and EV alongside the official racecard fields. That lets you cross-check the model's call against the form figures the bookmakers see.
