Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using TrapStats’s website, applications, and API (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Service to:
- Age restriction: Access the Service if you are under 18 years of age. Gambling analytics are intended for adults only.
- Credential sharing: Share, transfer, or sell your login credentials, API keys, or account access to any third party.
- Scraping & data extraction: Use automated tools, bots, crawlers, or scripts to scrape, mine, or extract data from the Service beyond what is provided through our official API.
- Reverse engineering: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or model weights of any part of the Service.
- Redistribution: Resell, republish, or redistribute predictions, analytics, or any other data obtained from the Service without our prior written consent.
- Interference: Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service’s infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks or rate-limit circumvention.
- Unlawful use: Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal under applicable law, including jurisdictions where online gambling is prohibited.
- Impersonation: Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with TrapStats.
3. API User Obligations
If you access the Service via our API, you additionally agree to:
- Respect the rate limits associated with your subscription tier. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension of API access.
- Keep your API keys confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key.
- Not cache or store API responses for longer than 24 hours unless expressly permitted by your plan.
- Include appropriate attribution when displaying TrapStats data in any downstream application or publication.
- Not use the API to build a competing service or product that replicates the core functionality of TrapStats.
4. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violation of this AUP, including but not limited to:
- Warning: Issuing a formal notice for minor or first-time violations.
- Suspension: Temporarily suspending your account and/or API access pending investigation.
- Termination: Permanently terminating your account without refund for serious or repeated violations.
- Legal action: Reporting violations to law enforcement or pursuing civil remedies where appropriate.
We will endeavour to notify you before taking enforcement action except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any misuse of the Service, please report it to abuse@trapstats.co.uk.
