UK & Irish greyhound data, licensed

The same database this site runs on, delivered as a metered REST API or as files. Results, racecards, form, times, sectionals, bend-by-bend positions and the stewards’ comment on every run — with a provenance column saying how many independent sources confirmed each result, and a published list of what is missing.

Live and historic, keyed and metered: 60 requests a minute, 100,000 a month. For powering your own product. No redistribution of the raw responses.

Bulk & licensing
from £500/month

The full history as files on a schedule, higher limits, and the rights you actually need — redistribution, or training a model on it. Priced on volume and rights.

What the API serves

  • GET /racecardstoday's and future cards: race, distance, grade, going, runners, traps
  • GET /races/{id}one race in full, with every runner and its result
  • GET /resultsfinished races by date, track or dog, paged with a stable cursor
  • GET /dogs/{id}/profilea dog's whole record: runs, times, sectionals, bends, comments

Key in an X-API-Key header, opaque-cursor paging, and every nullable field typed as nullable — a gap arrives as null, never as a missing key or an invented value. Interactive schema at /api/v1/docs.

What is in a row

Result:
finish position, distance beaten, winning time, dead heats flagged
Times:
finish time and the first split where the source publishes one
Running line:
position at each bend — the part almost nobody else holds
Stewards' comment:
raw text, plus a parse into trouble, start quality and running line
Prices:
the bookmakers' returned starting price as published with the result
Provenance:
how many independent sources confirmed each result, and which

What we will not sell you

  • Exchange prices. Betfair asserts copyright and database rights over its pricing data and we hold no licence to pass it on. Starting prices here are the bookmakers’ returned SP, published with the official result.
  • Tips, or an edge. We measured every strategy we have on nine months of this data: none beats the market at the starting price, and our own model is worse calibrated than the market. If you want a winning system, this is not it — if you want the form to build one honestly, it is.
  • Certainty we do not have. Coverage gaps and known defects are published on the data quality page and shipped in the dataset’s README.

Automated access

Crawling the site instead of using the API is slower for you, expensive for us, and it is now refused at the network level. If you are here because a range was blocked: the licensed path is above, and the first reply is usually the same day. Search engines and the named AI crawlers are welcome and are never blocked — the rule is aimed at operations that rent thousands of addresses to avoid being counted.
